Cinee is a platform for creative expression through AI-generated cinema. This Content Policy defines what is and isn't allowed on the Platform. We aim to foster a diverse, inclusive, and safe creative community while giving filmmakers maximum creative freedom.
1. Our Philosophy
Cinee embraces the full spectrum of storytelling. We believe AI cinema is an emerging art form that deserves a platform built for it. We apply content standards that are fair, transparent, and consistently enforced — protecting our community while respecting artistic intent.
2. Content That Is Always Prohibited
The following content is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate removal and potential account termination:
Zero Tolerance
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any sexual or exploitative depictions of minors, including AI-generated content. This is reported to relevant authorities.
- Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery: Deepfakes or AI-generated sexual content depicting real individuals without their verified consent.
- Terrorism & Violent Extremism: Content that promotes, recruits for, or glorifies terrorist organizations or acts of mass violence.
- Imminent Harm: Credible threats of violence, instructions for creating weapons, or content designed to cause real-world physical harm.
- Fraud & Deception: Content created to scam, defraud, or deliberately mislead viewers in ways that could cause material harm (e.g., fake news presented as real, impersonation of real organizations).
3. Content Requiring Age Restrictions
The following content is permitted but must be marked with an appropriate age rating by the creator:
Restricted — Must Be Labeled
- Graphic Violence: Realistic depictions of extreme violence, gore, or torture in a narrative context.
- Sexual Content: Explicit sexual content between consenting adults (AI-generated characters only — no real individuals without consent).
- Drug Use: Detailed depictions of drug use or manufacturing.
- Disturbing Imagery: Horror content with intense body horror, psychological distress, or graphic medical scenes.
Failure to properly label restricted content may result in content removal and a warning. Repeated violations may lead to account suspension.
4. Content We Allow & Encourage
Welcome on Cinee
- All genres: Sci-fi, drama, horror, comedy, documentary, experimental, animation, music videos, and everything in between.
- Controversial themes: Films exploring war, politics, social issues, mental health, and other difficult subjects — provided they serve a narrative or artistic purpose.
- Satire & parody: Creative commentary through humor, satire, and parody is protected.
- Experimental & abstract: Non-traditional storytelling, abstract visuals, and avant-garde filmmaking.
- Fan works: Original creative works inspired by existing media, provided they don't infringe on copyrights (see Section 6).
5. AI Transparency Requirements
Cinee requires transparency about AI usage in content creation. All creators must:
- Disclose AI tools: Tag the AI models and tools used in production (e.g., Sora, Kling, Seedance, ElevenLabs). This is required via the upload metadata form.
- Label deepfakes of real people: If your content features AI-generated likenesses of real, identifiable individuals, it must be clearly labeled as AI-generated.
- No misleading claims: Do not present AI-generated content as real footage, documentary evidence, or authentic recordings without clear disclosure.
Why we require this: Transparency builds trust between creators and audiences. It also helps establish AI cinema as a legitimate art form with its own creative identity — not a tool for deception.
6. Intellectual Property
- Do not upload content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
- Using copyrighted characters, music, or footage without authorization is prohibited.
- You must have the right to use all elements in your film — including AI model outputs. Review the terms of service for each AI tool you use.
- If you receive a DMCA takedown notice, the content will be removed while the dispute is resolved. Repeated infringements result in account termination.
7. Real People & Likenesses
AI-generated content featuring real, identifiable individuals requires special care:
- Permitted: Satire, parody, commentary, and news-related use with clear AI disclosure labels.
- Prohibited: Non-consensual sexual content, defamatory content presented as real, and content designed to harass or impersonate specific individuals.
- Best practice: When in doubt, use fictional characters. If depicting real people, ensure the context is clearly creative/satirical and labeled as AI-generated.
8. Community Standards
Beyond content itself, we expect all community interactions to follow these standards:
- No harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse of other creators or viewers.
- No hate speech or content promoting discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or nationality.
- No spam, scams, or misleading engagement tactics (e.g., clickbait thumbnails that don't match content).
- Respect other creators' work — do not re-upload or claim others' content as your own.
9. Content Moderation
9.1 How We Moderate
Cinee uses a combination of automated detection systems and human review to enforce this policy. All flagged content is reviewed by a trained moderator before action is taken.
9.2 Reporting
Users can report content that violates this policy using the report button on any film page. Reports are reviewed within 48 hours.
9.3 Enforcement Actions
- Warning: First-time or minor violations receive a warning with guidance on compliance.
- Content Removal: Violating content is removed from the Platform.
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated violations result in a 7–30 day account suspension.
- Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated violations result in permanent account termination.
9.4 Appeals
Creators may appeal moderation decisions within 14 days by submitting an appeal to appeals@cinee.com. Appeals are reviewed by a senior moderator not involved in the original decision. We aim to resolve appeals within 7 business days.
10. Content Ratings System
Cinee uses a simple, clear rating system that creators must apply to their uploads:
- G — General Audiences: Suitable for all viewers.
- T — Teen: May contain mild language, non-graphic violence, or suggestive themes.
- M — Mature: Contains graphic violence, strong language, sexual themes, or intense horror.
- R — Restricted: Explicit content. Viewer must be 18+ to access.
Cinee reserves the right to re-classify content if ratings are found to be inaccurate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Content Policy as the AI cinema landscape evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email and Platform notification at least 15 days before taking effect.
